The Easter Bunny Likes Clean Closets
When I was at BlissDom last month I stopped by the Hershey’s booth to see all the candy. I’m such a sucker for a Cadbury Egg. I was so excited to be able to build my very own Easter basket for my daughter, for free! She’s going to be thrilled with it on Easter morning, because like Mother like Daughter, she loves Cadbury eggs too. At the booth they wanted us to think about our Easter memories… and it just so happens that I have one that goes PERFECTLY with this blog.
I am aware that the Easter bunny does things differently in every house. That silly bunny! In our house he would hide the Easter baskets, and they all had our names on it so we knew when we found our own. I have 2 brothers and one sister. One bright Easter morning I woke up and quickly found Amy’s basket, and then Corey’s basket…. and then Tim’s basket…. I looked EVERYWHERE, and my basket was not to be found. I literally looked for a good hour, perhaps more. I was sad, dejected, depressed. The Easter bunny had completely forgot me! Where was my basket???
There was no where else to look. I finally consulted with my parents, who had been bothering me for quite some time to clean my closet. It was full of clothes and toys and shoes and everything else that young girl keeps in her closet. My parents ever so gently told me that perhaps if I cleaned my room, I may just find my basket.
I’m sure you can guess what happened next. I cleaned my closet (or maybe I just tore my closet apart and all the mess ended up in my room, but who can remember these kinds of things). Low and behold my Easter basket was buried underneath the mess that was my closet.
So, as Easter heads right around the corner, you may want to tell your children to keep their rooms clean, or the Easter bunny may just play a mean trick on them too!
Hershey’s is creating the first ever virtual “Bunny Trail” on www.CelebrateWithHersheys.com leading up to Easter on April 8, go check it out!
