Use outline to trace the numbered shapes on colored paper of your choice. We love how kids can create their own unique mermaid using different colors!
They could also color in the different parts of the blank pattern and then assemble for yet another twist.
-Or- Cut out the colored mermaid shapes on the white cardstock.
Tip: You can also use this mermaid tail template to print for cupcake toppers, games, or cutouts for party decor!
Step 2:
Using a gluestick, glue fin piece to the bottom of the tail. Then attach to the torso.
Next, glue swimtop to the mermaid’s torso.
Step 3:
Place the ponytail section of the hair on the table. Glue the back of the head to the center of the hair, bringing her braid over the shoulder.
Then glue the bangs from the mermaid pattern to the front of the head.
Step 4:
Using markers or colored pencils, draw a face and add embellishments or designs to the mermaid’s tail and swimsuit.
For extra detail, outline the hair and add strands.
In just those simple steps, you have a completed paper mermaid that is as sweet as she is easy to make!
