This Valentines Day heart candy holder craft is an easy to make Dollar Store craft. Kids can use it to give to their friends and family as a Valentine’s Day card with a piece of candy.
I remember when I was younger and we passed out our Valentine’s Day cards to our classmates. At that time, they didn’t have any fun cards, it was just the store-bought cards that you had to choose from.
Sometimes, the selection you had to choose from, wasn’t all that great. These days, there are so many different styles and some creative ways to make your own Valentine’s Day cards.

Valentines Day Heart Candy Holder Cards
These cute candy holder cards will make a great Valentine’s Day card for classmates or friends. You can even turn them into a fun school Valentine’s Day project.
Supplies Needed To Create the Candy Holders:
The supplies needed were all purchased from the Dollar Tree. If you can’t find these specific felt decorations, you can choose any others available.
- Dollar Tree Felt Hearts in Light Pink and White
- Scissors
- Felt Heart stickers
- Dollar Tree Felt Cupcake Stickers
- Dollar Tree Felt Letters (we used white)
- Twine
- Dollar Tree White Ribbon
- Mini bags of candy (or small candy bars)
How to Make the Valentines Day Heart Candy Holder
Cut 2 (20-inch pieces of the ribbon and the twine). You can cut less or more if you’d like to make it shorter or longer.
To lace the ribbon and twin, start at the bottom of the heart. Weave the ribbon/twine in and out of the mini hearts on the side.
Do this all the way up to the top leaving some space open at the top so you can put mini treats in it. Tie the ribbon/twine at the top in a knot so that it is secure.
Next, apply the felt letter stickers, the felt heart stickers, and the felt cupcake stickers to decorate! You can mix and match these however you’d like, below are just some ideas of how these were set up.
