Perfect for old fashioned holiday or to make your house smell festive any time of year, these easy DIY orange & clove pomander candle holders are a simple holiday craft that will brighten up any room!
To make these Orange Clove Tealight Holders, you will need:
- Oranges
- Whole cloves
- Tea lights
- Pencil
- Small sharp knife
- Spoon
- Toothpicks (optional)
Step 1:
Draw a circle around the top of the orange, using the candle as a template. Cut out with a sharp knife (do this part for children if they are helping).
Step 2:
Using a spoon, scrape out the top layer of pulp, enough to make room for the tealight to fit in.
Step 3:
Using a toothpick, poke holes in the pattern you would to create and stick the clove into the orange where each hole is.
Alternative you you could just use a little more finger muscle power and press the clove in without making a hole ahead with the toothpick.
We love the striped look here but swirls or other patterns would be great too!
Step 4:
Light your cangle and enjoy the beauitful aroma that smells just like the holiday season!
Place these sweet smelling holiday lights around the house or use them as table decor in your next holiday tablescape. They are sure to be a topic of conversation and add a great rustic appeal to any Christmas or winter table.
