How to Make a Hot Cocoa Charcuterie Board

To make the board is simple, just portion out your chosen ingredients into separate containers and small bowls and assemble onto the board.

Add extras around the board to complete the board layout. Be sure to have enough serving spoons for your extras and toppings.

Various Hot Chocolate Recipes

Lindt Chocolate or Lindor Truffle Cocoa’s (use any flavor)

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup steamed milk 
  • 3 Lindor Truffles 
  • Fresh whipped cream 

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, bring milk to a simmer until hot.
  2. Add Lindor chocolate or truffle to a mug.
  3. Pour hot milk over the truffle or cocoa and whisk until everything is melted and combined well.
  4. Enjoy.

Traditional Cocoa

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup steamed milk 
  • 3 scoops (or 1 Tablespoon) of cocoa powder 

Instructions: 

  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, bring milk to a simmer until hot.
  2. Add cocoa to the mug.
  3. Pour hot milk into the mug with cocoa, use a spoon or whisk to stir until well combined.

Godiva Mint Cocoa 

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup steamed milk 
  • 4-6 Godiva Mint truffles 

Instructions: 

  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, bring milk to a simmer until hot.
  2. Add Godiva mint truffles to your mug.
  3. Pour hot milk over the chocolate and let it melt before stirring until well combined.  

Double Chocolate Cocoa 

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup steamed milk 
  • 2 Tbsp. white chocolate chips 
  • 2 tbsp. Chocolate chips 

Instructions: 

  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, bring milk to a simmer until hot.
  2. In a mug, add both chocolate chips.
  3. Pour hot milk over chocolate, let it melt and stir until well combined.

Hershey Candy Cane Striped Cocoa 

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup steamed milk 
  • 4-5 Hershey Candy Cane‘s
  • 1 scoop cocoa mix 

Instructions: 

  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, bring milk to a simmer until hot.
  2. Add cocoa mix and candy cane into the mug.
  3. Pour hot milk over it and let melt before stirring well.

Storage

Any leftovers of this board should be stored in separate containers. Candy, hot cocoa mix, and all the toppings should be stored separately and appropriately to be able to use them again for another board later during the chilly holiday season.

Tips and Variations

  • Feel free to make your own hot chocolate mix, or use a store bought hot chocolate mix. We love these hot chocolate recipes.
  • What we added to this hot chocolate board are just a few ideas. You can absolutely customize these to include other favorite toppings, like caramel sauce, chocolate syrup, hot fudge, butterscotch sauce, etc., and other things that you enjoy.
  • As always, feel free to add any other fun ideas like any extra ingredients into your cocoa to change the flavors. 
  • It’s so much fun to garnish your mugs with any of the extra items on the board!
  • Feel free to add any other candies, desserts (Hershey kisses, peanut butter cups, mini chocolate bars, etc), hot chocolate bombs, or anything else you want to add.
