A shamrock shake is really just a fancy green mint milkshake, and is simple to mix up at home.  There’s also a ton of variations you can make on a basic shamrock shake.

Next is the milk.  If you’re health conscious, you probably have a preferred milk in mind, so use your favorite.  Things like skim milk or non-dairy milk work great in this recipe.

As you can see, there is no added sugar to a shamrock shake!  The sweetness comes from the ice cream and whipped cream.  Again, these are areas where you can use your favorite healthy products, or even omit the whipped cream all together.

Maraschino cherries are a fun way to decorate this shamrock shake, but you can use fresh cherries or even skip these too for your prefect healthy shamrock shake.

This fun shamrock shake copycat recipe is loved by all, and quick and easy to make! It makes four 4oz servings, and can easily be doubled!

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup Vanilla Ice Cream (any kind! Keto, sugar free, dairy free, etc)
  • 1/2 cup your favorite milk
  • 2 fresh mint leaves or 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1 drop green food coloring
  • Maraschino cherries and whipped cream for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in the container for your blender. You can also use an immersion blender and a bowl or pitcher!
  2. Blend until smooth and creamy. If you like thinner milkshakes, add a bit more milk.
  3. Pour into 4 glasses and enjoy. Top with your favorite garnishes like whipped cream, marschino cherries, chocolate syrup, or chocolate chips or shavings.
